The Pirelli Scorpion Verde All Season Run Flat is a touring all season tire manufactured for sport utility and crossover vehicles. The tire was made with reinforced sidewalls that are capable of supporting the weight of the vehicle and the passengers temporarily after the loss of air pressure. In case of a puncture or similar damage the tire can be driven on for 50 miles at up to the speed of 50 mph, which allows the driver to safely arrive at a destination where they can change or repair the tire. Run flat tires are made with a heavier construction than regular tires, due to this they cannot be mounted on the same vehicle. Run flat models are usually made for vehicles without space for a spare tire.
